The Cherry Hill Hybrid Timber Frame

This Virginia home combines timber frame sections with a panel enclosure system (hybrid construction), to reduce costs while allowing the timbers to be shown in the most visible areas of the home.

Naturally shaped timbers or "taiko beams" made out of cherry trees cut from the owner's property were used as tie beams in the great room to give the home a personal touch.
